This privacy policy applies to the Dreamber - AI Dream Journal app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Dawnshard Software, LLC (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a subscription-based service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

Dreamber is designed to be private by default. IMPORTANT: Your dream journal entries are stored locally on your device only. The Service Provider does not operate user accounts and does not store your dreams, your voice recordings, or your journal history on their servers. Voice capture is transcribed on your device using Apple's on-device speech recognition; your audio never leaves your phone.

The Application does not require an account and does not collect analytics about your usage. The only user content the Application transmits off your device is described below, and only after you have given your explicit permission inside the Application (during onboarding or via the "AI reflections" setting).

What is sent: when you save a dream and AI reflections are enabled, the text of that dream entry, together with brief summaries of your recent entries (titles, themes, and symbols, used to detect recurring patterns) and any lucid/recurring/nightmare flags you set, is transmitted securely (HTTPS) to the Service Provider's analysis server.

Who it is sent to: the Service Provider's server forwards this text to Google LLC's Gemini API, the third-party artificial-intelligence service that generates your reflection. Google processes this data in accordance with its Gemini API Terms and Privacy Policy, which provide protections consistent with this policy.

How it is used: solely to generate the dream reflection (title, themes, symbols, tone, and patterns) returned to your device. It is not used for advertising and is not sold.

Retention: processing is transient — the Service Provider does not store your dream text after the request completes.

Your control: AI reflections are optional. You are asked for permission during onboarding before any dream text is shared, and you can turn sharing off at any time in the Application's Settings under "AI reflections". With sharing off, your dreams remain entirely on your device and no reflections are generated. Voice audio is never transmitted in any case — speech is transcribed on your device.

• Your device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address) is processed transiently for rate limiting and abuse prevention, and is not retained.
• No advertising identifiers are collected and no data is sold or used for advertising.

The Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device.

Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. The Application uses RevenueCat to manage subscription entitlements. RevenueCat receives purchase information (such as transaction identifiers and an anonymous app user ID) but does not receive your dream content.

The Service Provider does not share your dream content with third parties except as required to provide the analysis feature described above. Please note that the Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Privacy Policy about handling data. The Service Provider may disclose information:

• as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;
• when they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
• with their trusted services providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information we disclose to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. Because your journal is stored locally, uninstalling the Application also deletes your dream data from your device. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.

Your dream entries are retained on your device until you delete them in the Application or uninstall the Application. The Service Provider does not retain dream content on their servers, so there is nothing for the Service Provider to delete server-side. If you have any questions about your data, please contact the Service Provider at info@dawnshardsoftware.com and they will respond in a reasonable time.

The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. Dream analysis requests are transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and the Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information the Service Provider processes.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.

By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us.
