This privacy policy applies to the Learn Mahjong with Dot app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Dawnshard Software, LLC (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a freemium service with an optional subscription. This service is intended for use "AS IS".
The Application is designed to collect as little as possible. You do not need an account, name, or email address to use it. Your lessons, answers, and progress stay on your device. The only information that leaves your device is what is needed to process an optional subscription, handled by Apple and RevenueCat as described below. The Application contains no advertising, no third-party analytics, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
To teach you and remember where you left off, the Application stores the following on your device:
This information is not sent to the Service Provider. It remains on your device until you delete the Application. It may be included in device backups you make through Apple (such as iCloud Backup), which are governed by Apple's privacy policy.
If you view subscription options or purchase Dot Pro, purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. The Service Provider never receives your payment card details. The Application uses RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat assigns a random, pseudonymous app user identifier that is not linked to your name or email address, and receives information needed to provide this service, such as your purchase and subscription history from Apple, your App Store country and currency, the Application version, device model and operating system version, and your IP address. This is used to confirm which features you have access to, to restore purchases, and to resolve billing questions.
If you turn on daily reminders, your device asks for permission to show notifications. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. The Service Provider does not operate a notification server and does not receive any information about your reminders.
The Application relies on the following service providers to process subscriptions. Their privacy policies describe how they handle information:
The Service Provider may disclose information:
You can turn off reminders at any time in the Application or in your device's Settings. You can stop all collection of information by the Application by uninstalling it, using the standard uninstall process available on your device or via the App Store.
Progress stored on your device remains there until you delete the Application, which removes it. Subscription records held by Apple and RevenueCat are retained as needed to provide your subscription, resolve billing and support questions, and meet legal obligations; uninstalling the Application does not automatically erase them. To request access to or deletion of subscription data associated with your use of the Application, contact info@dawnshardsoftware.com.
The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.
The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case the Service Provider discovers that a child under 13 has provided personal information, the Service Provider will delete it. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact the Service Provider (info@dawnshardsoftware.com) so that they will be able to take the necessary actions.
The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. Because your learning progress stays on your device, it is protected by your device's own security. Subscription information is transmitted over encrypted connections to Apple and RevenueCat.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason, for example if a future version adds features such as syncing progress between devices. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
This privacy policy is effective as of 2026-10-19
By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us.
If you have any questions regarding privacy while using the Application, or have questions about the practices, please contact the Service Provider via email at info@dawnshardsoftware.com.
